I cut he knot.
Version 6.03 (isn) has an additional priority level to distinguish between
worked or never worked band / mode combinations.
I also inserted this level in the DX alerts, so you have a choice what you want
to hear or not.

There is an issue of audio alerts... Changing color doesn't address
that...

Hi,
Often I read remarks from users that have been using DX4WIN for a while that
they discover features that are 'neat',
'helpful', 'cool' etc. An example is the double-click in the reports or
summaries to set a filter automatically. I would like
to collect those finds, and put them in a sectio
But then why aren't we allowed to select which way we want it in the
preferences? That would make it quite easy for us to eliminate those green
worrisome spots that we must learn to ignore. I don't know how tough it
would be to eliminate them in software but with all the options Paul's magic

Hi, Sorry, another dumb question I should know the answer to. I just
started running 602. I listen upstairs to the computer via a baby montitor
and I want to listen for New Countries, new modes and new countries on
individual bands. I dont want it to announce everytime one comes up on a
band that
Stu,
1. Store that in the 'Notes for QSO'. Type Ctrl+E if you want to see more of
the entry field.
2. Open the logbook window, do a right mouse click. If you like the fields
defined in the default format,
select a new sort order only. If you want to see different fields or reorder
the fields,
Actually it's grey once you work it... Something I'm not sure I agree
with... Think it should be black... Grey should be just those spots you
have indicated you don't want to see at all...

And that is the essential difference between Jim's and my approach to
DXing. I am interested
If the same station is spotted that you've worked before... It should be
black... If it's a different station it should be red... But I'm not
sure which way DX4Win works... I'll have to test it...

I think the best solution would be to add another color combo for un-worked
band/mode combos.
If the user is happy with the present system, simply change the new color
scheme to green on white,
so it has the same look as it does now in 6.02.

Wendell,
I thought I understood this but the as I read more, I get more confused.
Maybe (probably) I'm missing something. The way I read the help files, =
the

It's hard to explain, but there are those of us who like to work every country
on every possible band/mode combination. It's a sickness, I'll admit it.
Here's how I think of the colors (sorry, no priority numbers for me):
DU9RG is spotted on 40 meter CW. I have never worked DU on 40 meters, so
Not yet. Yugoslavia has changed names (loose affiliation of Serbia and
Montenegro), but no changes to the DXCC list yet.

Just give us another option. You might label them:
Confusing and not needed, Hi!
Seriously, if folks don't care whether they have a 12M contact confirmed on
phone or CW yet have it on other bands for CW, SSB and RTTY credits, why is
it colored.
What am I missing?
