Re: [Dx4win] Problem

My club recently had a special event operation, W0C. It was logged on

AclADIF.adi. I do have the AClog 3.0 on my hard drive, but never use it.
The log was sent to me in ADIF format. I have tried to import it to my
DX4WIN log with no success. Of the 538 Q's I get just 214 of them in a new
file that I created. Yes, I have one dummy call in the new log. No matter
how I try to import the log it will not put all 538 calls in the log.

Are there any errors generated by DX4WIN when you try to import the adif file?

What you might be able to do is to open the adif file using a text
editor and look for a QSO that's not getting successfully imported.
Perhaps there's some field in the AClog file that DX4WIN doesn't
recognize. Once you identify the problem you can fix the log so it'll
import.

You could also see if there's some other format that AClog can use for
export that DX4WIN understands.

[Dx4win] Band Map Not Folowing Radio - Solved

2011-03-11 Thread W2LE
Jim, AD1C, solved this for me - the log must be in real-time mode (hit
F9.) Bandmap works fine now.

Paul W2LE

After many years of using DX4WIN I decided to connect it to my radios.
Running 8.05, radio is a K3, baud rate 38400 on a real Com1. This works
fine with Writelog and Win-test.

I open the band map, follow radio is checked. It initially opens on
some other band than the radio is set for. If I click on a call in the
bandmap the radio goes there and moving the VFO makes the red arrow
move. But if I click on the log window and delete the QSO added when I
first clicked on the bandmap the red arrow no longer follows the VFO.
It will start working again if I click on another call in the bandmap.

If I click on add QSO real time it always picks up the correct frequency.

Is this how it should work or did I miss something in the setup?

[Dx4win] FW: ACLog adi file

2011-03-11 Thread Dick White
My thanks to all who tried to help me solve this problem. I think Paul's
statement below is the answer to why I cannot import the ACLog .0 file into
DX4WIN. The ACLog 3.0 by N3FJP has 2 options to export a file. One is the
ACLog format and the other says ADIF. But, I get the same result with
either file I use. I have spent too much time working on this to continue
and will not try to import the file to DX4WIN. I will just use the ACLog
file even though it is not as simple to use as DX4WIN. I was trying to
import the ACLog into my DX4WIN log to keep track of the QSL's received and
sent for our special event station W0C on the air last weekend.

Thanks for the offer to help Dick KS0M

Dick,

I'm surprised you got anything in DX4WIN at all; this is a comma separated
values (CSV) file, not an ADIF file

You asked for the ADIF file so here it is as an attachment the way I
eceived it.

I note that ACLog 3.0 has two ADIF formats to choose from: Export
Log-ACLog
  Format or Export ADIF Format

I have been unable to contact the op who sent it to me at this time. Could
make a difference. I have entered the file in my ACLog 3.0 program and all
538 Q's are there. I still have not been able to get it into DX4WIN.

  Thanks Dick KS0M

2011-03-11 Thread John Balsillie
Hi Dick, sorry if I jumped on the thread too late, but have you looked at
Jim's Application note 15 to make a custom filter for the .csv file? I did
it the other week for a .xls file and it work out fine, mind you it was only
the bare bones QSO info.

[Dx4win] problem fixed

2011-03-11 Thread Dick White

My thanks to Jim, AD1C, for fixing the ACLog ADIF problem. I now have all
538 W0C calls in DX4WIN and will be able to keep track of the QSL requests
as to S/R. I was not looking forward to keeping track of QSL's with the
other program. My radio club will now have a permanent record of our special
event.

What a giving person Jim is to take his time to help people like me.

[Dx4win] PSK-31 Spot Frequency

2011-03-11 Thread Bud Governale, W3LL
Where is the spotted station in the audio passband spectrum window when I click
on a PSK-31 spot?

How do I find it amongst many other stations within the audio passband?

K3 radio is set to USB or PSK-D mode.
