[Dx4win] Uploading to LotW

2004-09-02 Thread Kostas SV1DPI
You must do it as follows:

1. in qso window. Labels Set upload flags
2. Labels Export for LOTW
and after the export routine
3. LabelsClear upload flags
Then every time the dx4win makes the right if i remember well.

If you have done the 1st step then when you download the confirmation file
of LOtw page you will import the adif file as usually but under the Options
for duplicate QSOs must choose Imported qsos set upload confirmed flag
The usual procedure if you don't remember is...
1. Fileimport/export and thenADIF
2. in the followinf window which is Options for duplicate qsos make the
right choise.

of course you will not see the uploaded confirmation in your dxcc totals if
you have not checked
File Preferences QSO Confirmed qsos (left bottom corner) Card or Upload

Good luck

I was just trying to figure out how to use DX4WIN to upload QSOs that I've
made since last fall, and not uploaded manually since then. I think I can
see how to do thisa, though the help file doesn't (help).

More importantly, it looks as if DX4WIN will track which of my QSOs have
been confirmed via LotW. I can't find any reference to how this latter
function works in the help file either. Am I right to assume that I
download the ADIF file of confirmations from ARRL and imnport it into
DX4WIN? Do I want the short form or the verbose, or doesn't it matter?

[Dx4win] Uploading to LotW

2004-09-02 Thread Pete Smith
Thanks to Kostas, and also to AD1C, whose web page has a good summary on
this (and to the several list members who pointed me to it).

I do have to wonder why this isn't (as far as I can tell) covered in the
Help file.

[Dx4win] WIN 2000: Port Driver Not Found

2004-09-02 Thread [EMAIL PROTECTED]
I recently purchased 6.0.3 after using version 5 for many years,
and installed it on a computer running win2000 with the logged in
user having administrative privileges (it won't install unless the
user has admin privileges). Everything seems to work great, and I
was able to import my old logs, settings, etc.

However, when I set the user privileges back to Power User (I
don't like running as administrator, since this machine is on almost
24/7) I can't get dx4win 6.0.3 to run. Every time I execute it I get a
Port driver not found! Check Appendix files for the correct driver
error message. Obviously the Vichw11.sys file is still correctly
located, but dx4win apparently can't see it.

Any clues as to how to proceed?
