[Dx4win] upgrade problem
I have tried to upgrade from 7.02 to 7.05.04. When I open my log the only status in the country window is W for worked. Will the log created in 7.02 work in 7.05? 73 Don...W4TO ___ Dx4win mailing list Dx4win@mailman.qth.net http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win
Re: [Dx4win] DX Marathon Conversion Utility
Strange. I'll have to try it later this week. If you can find where the .EXE program was installed, you can just double-click it to run it. Be advised that it doesn't work with 7.04. I have a new version in the works, but it hasn't been released yet. I guess I'll have to do it this week. 73 - Jim AD1C On 10/31/2008 8:35 PM, Mark K3MSB wrote: Has anybody tried the 08 version? [Dx4win] WriteLog to DX4WIN conversion for ARRL SS
If you want to convert your ARRL SS log in WriteLog to DX4WIN format using my program, and you want the complete received exchange (number, precedence, check, section) in your Notes for this QSO field, give me until Monday night (local time) to implement the Exchange check-box in the program for ARRL SS. 73 - Jim AD1C -- Jim Reisert AD1C/Ø, [EMAIL PROTECTED], http://www.ad1c.us ___ Dx4win mailing list Dx4win@mailman.qth.net http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win

Re: [Dx4win] DX Marathon Conversion Utility
I just tried with the current program. First I installed the old January 2008 version. It installed successfully. Then I tried to install the April 2008 version. It would not install because the old version had to be removed first. I went into the control panel, add/remove programs, and found marathon which I uninstalled. Then I installed the April 2008 version and the installation was fine. I don't know what went wrong on your part. I'm running WinXP SP2 (not SP3). There will be a new, ADIF-compatible version sometime this week. 73 - Jim AD1C On 10/31/2008 8:35 PM Mark K3MSB wrote: Has anybody tried the 08 version? Re: [Dx4win] DX Marathon Conversion Utility
Hi Jim -- I had uninstalled the old Marathon program, and I just uninstalled the April version. I reinstalled the April version, and nothing in the start menu or desktop icon. I was able to bring up the program by clicking on the executable. I'm running 7.04.04; From you previous email, I think you said Marathon would not work with this; please confirm. I'm also running XP SP2. Mark On Mon, Nov 3, 2008 at 5:05 PM, Jim Reisert AD1C [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: I just tried with the current program. First I installed the old January 2008 version. Re: [Dx4win] DX Marathon Conversion Utility
Two separate issues: I don't know why install/uninstall isn't working properly. I tested it on my work PC that has SP2, not SP3. I didn't write the installer, it came with Microsoft Visual Studio. Maybe you don't have the latest MSI installer package for Windows. If you read this web page it will tell you where to get it: http://dx4win.ad1c.us/marathon.htm Second, Paul changed the logbook (.CSV) file format in 7.04 (released May 2008) to include the 4-digit year. It breaks the program. I have a new version which is based on ADIF, not CSV. It's not released yet. 73 - Jim AD1C -- Jim Reisert AD1C/Ø, [EMAIL PROTECTED], http://www.ad1c.us - Original Message From: Mark K3MSB [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: Jim Reisert AD1C [EMAIL PROTECTED] Cc: List DX4WIN Dx4win@mailman.qth.net Sent: Monday, November 3, 2008 5:25:20 PM Subject: Re: [Dx4win] DX Marathon Conversion Utility Hi Jim -- I had uninstalled the old Marathon program, and I just uninstalled the April version.
