If one plots a trend line, the delay is growing exponentially. The trend indicates a file uploaded *today* is not likely to be processed *for more than five weeks* based on the current rate of growth in the backlog. Based on the processing time for files uploaded at 0500z on 12/2, there were about 2.25 million unprocessed QSOs in the queue at that time - and that was 48 hours *after* the deadline for submitting CQWW CW logs. With the trend in growth between 11/25 and 12/2, the queue could hold as many *10 million* unprocessed QSOs (although that is unlikely)! I know the folks in Newington are saying trust us, but their performance - and complete failure to provide *current data* - particularly the failure to provide accurate current status on the size of the processing queue - makes trust very difficult. 73, ... Even though the QSO is marked as confirmed via LoTW in my log, the zone shows W (or M in a couple). I've gone to the trouble of looking each Q up in my LoTW account, and the other station, in every case, has included his zone. Manually setting the Cfnm via QSL box to Y sets the zone as confirmed. Then, to test this further, I found 3 zones where I had both QSL and LoTW confirmations (and the zone marked as C). In all three of those, changing the QSL rcvd to N (and having the LoTW Cfnm still = Y) changed the band/zone box from C to W or M. In other words, it appears that a confirmation from LoTW is not setting the band/zone to confirmed. I am not seeing any setting that might affect this, but perhaps that's right in front of my face. Or, perhaps this is a bug? Just reporting it, more than anything. You might want to check with the incoming QSL bureau manager. Here is a hard way to do it. Make sure you do NOT have any label flags set for any QSOs first! F8 search for K in prefix field and 0 in callsign field (you must use substring matching). Generate labels for these QSOs only, then print them. Do the same thing for #1, #2, #3 etc. Portables will mess with this, but it's better than nothing. Or you can search for / first and print all those labels, then at the end, put those QSLs into the correct piles. 73 - Jim AD1C -- Jim Reisert AD1C/Ø, [EMAIL PROTECTED], http://www.ad1c.us - Original Message From: Bill Barr, N4NX [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: Jim Reisert AD1C [EMAIL PROTECTED] Cc: DX4WIN dx4win@mailman.qth.net Sent: Wednesday, June 25, 2008 12:57:55 PM Subject: sorting QSLs by call area. I have a large contest log ( now in DX4win ) that has only stateside calls ( about 10,000 ) . We are going to QSL to all calls in the log via the various Call area bureaus. I would like to print out QSL labels by USA call areas. This will allow me to break up the printing and at the same time group QSLs by USA call area for packaging and mailing. Is there a simple approach? [Dx4win] Bearing display bug?
Perhaps this has been going on all along, and I've just noticed it, but I find that hard to believe. I'm not aware of any settings I've changed, although I did upgrade as soon as the latest version came out a couple of weeks ago If a spot comes in for say JA1AAA, the QSO info window will correctly display a beam heading for me of 320. I noticed this evening on 6 meter spots, however, that if the grid square of the spotting station is put in the comments of the cluster spot, DX4Win displays the beam heading to that grid square. Example: Spot: JA1AAA 50110.6 el96 - i.e. a Florida station in grid EL96 did the spotting and is simply saying the JA is making it into Florida. My QSO window immediately shows JA1AAA and Japan, but the beam heading is 135, i.e. to EL96 Bug? Some setting I'm not thinking of?
