[Dx4win] Printing Label Directly on QSL Card

2008-12-27 Thread Larry Burke

I am in the process of ordering new QSL cards and I would like to be able to
print the DX4WIN label directly on the card. I found a few references to
this in the archives, but I am having a couple of problems. One is getting
the label to print in the correct spot (which, in my case, is the center
of the card). I suspect it's just a matter of me playing around with things
before I find the right location. The more serious issue is that the ink
from my laser printer (HP P2015d) doesn't seem to want to stick to the QSL
card. I'm using an inexpensive W4MPY stock card for the trials, but have
also used a sample from the QSL Shop. I am wondering if there is a coating
on these cards prohibiting the ink from adhering. The card also creates a
paper jam if it is placed in the printer in an orientation perpendicular to
the envelope feed direction.

I'm interesting in hearing from anyone who has made this work.

Depends on the finish of the card stock. Those with the glossy or
semi-glossy finish the ink will have a tough time sticking to the finish.
The cards with a flat finish or I think they call it a matte finish I've had
pretty good luck with the ink sticking.

[Dx4win] Printing Label s on 7.02 build 15

2006-05-19 Thread Tony Lord
Hi all,

When printing labels within DX4WIN, I notice two strange things.

1. Each time I print I have to change paper size to A4 from letter??
(printer is set up as A4). Even after changing to paper size A4, it reverts
to regular on next print run of labels.

2. Each time I print, having previously set up font size and marked as
bold, the label wants to print as regular and I have to change to Bold??
Again after changing to bold, upon next print run it has reverted to
regular??

Never had this problem before with earlier versions and I haven't changed
the computer? Any ideas??
