The new FT-2000 radio file does not appear to work with the FT-950 (split
freq issues cause timeout and lockout), however the FT 9000 V 31 file seems
to work on everything except the panorama scanner. This function begins
displaying S9+ and dips when a signal is present (opposite of what it
I upgraded my copy of DX4WIN at Dayton. I received version 7.04. It
installed without a hitch.

My OM has been using the FT-9000 rig file to control his FT-450. This
setting allowed the program to read band/mode info correctly from the radio
but would write only the band info. On Paul's suggestion we made one change
in the rig file to see if that would correct this flaw. It didn't. When I

Paul obtained a Yaesu FT-2000 and used the radio to debug the software.
That radio should be fully functional in 7.04.
For the FT-9000, please use this .rig file:
Yaesu-FT9000-v3l.rig
(I don't know why the old Yaesu-FT9000.rig file is still in the directory).
Paul had to make some program
I think that the IC-7700 should work by using one of the IC-7800 .rig files and
changing the HEX address code to match the IC-7700. Has anyone tried this?
Are there are any problems/missing features?

Jim, It will be a while down the line, but I am guessing that after the 9000
is refitted so to speak, the current Rig file is not going to work anymore.
This will be a few months down the line. 73 John

Again to work with a FT9000 rig file, , Don´t know what
For those of you upgrading, please refer to my upgrade notes:

A common mistake is to NOT copy your preferences forward from the previous
version to the new version.
It's also a good idea to copy (not move) your logfile (call.DXL) from the old

Hi All,
Well just loaded Ver 7.04,
I still see that the export ADIF has not been repaired ( will not export
all log info).
And the export to csv file has not been repaired ( if in the notes field
you have data like name, address this is exported wrong).
Other than that it looks good. Will

· Added option to print VIA mgrcall without printing manager labels
I have used DX4WIN for years, but only recently I have been playing QSL catchup.
When I print labels with the Print QSL Manager box checked in 7.03,
all I get is of the form 7O1DX via AD1C on
Normally they should print out Garry if and only when the address
of the manager is in your Qsl mgr database.

I've taken the liberty of uploading to the web all the DX4WIN Release Notes
since 5.01. This could help you decide whether it's worth upgrading to the
latest version:

Hi Folks,
Don, KA5EYH pointed out a problem in the export of 10-10 numbers to ADIF files.
DX4WIN 7.04 (and maybe 7.03) exports the 10-10 number, but to the wrong ADIF
field name. You can do a search-and-replace in the ADIF file to fix it.
