Jay,
The 7300 can be set up to be controlled by both the USB port and the
CI-V jack with two different programs at the same time.
I run DX4WIN on my 7300 using the CI-V port. I also use WSJT-X on the
USB port for audio and rig control. Once set up right, they work well
together. The trick

You do have to stop the radio in DX4WIN if you run both programs together so
the contest program can use the radio control. I also use N1MM+ then ADIF
export and then import into DX4WIN. No program is going to log into DX4WIN so
you are really just using DX4WIN for the cluster spots telling
I run multiple programs at the same time on the one serial control line to
my radio using a virtual serial port application. It allows you to run
multiple programs at one time off of one line to your radio. It can be
challenging to get multiple programs set up and running off of the virtual

In DX4WIN, I choose LPT3 for CW keying in preferences. That's the only
choice. I SAVE changes and Exit. It doesn't work. Every time I go back
into preferences, it has reverted to NONE. This is a new computer.

Hi John,
Did you load the LPT port driver? From the DX4Win web page:
If you need access to the LPT port, run the LPTDriver program in the
drivers sub-directory; you will need to do that as administrator and
restart the computer when done.
Good luck

I tried to respond directly to you on your previous message from last week, but
never got a response.
If you are running Windows 10, it is quite possible that “Controlled Folder
Access” has been turned on during an update. You can either turn this feature
off in WIN10, or list
How did you transfer your log?
Please use the IMPORT function and select DX4WIN4.
If you have the current version simply read your Version 4 DXL file, errors
will occur.
