If it's a non-standard baud rate, you will have to uncheck the box in the Rig setup. What kind of interface are you using? The latest IC-7610 Rig driver for DX4WIN 9.x is here: https://ad1c.us/dx4win/radios/ Also make sure that the IC-7610 is running the latest firmware. If you need help, try here: https://groups.io/g/ic-7610 I have the same radio and it works very well with DX4WIN 9.x 73 - Jim AD1C -- Jim Reisert AD1C, , https://ad1c.us __ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html

WOW... I guess I have not been paying attention. I did not realize the 7610 rig file had posted. (duh) Downloaded the zip file to the desk top and unzipped into dx4win "radio" folder and it works perfectly. *Many thanks for the heads up guys.* 73, Bob, K5BG On Fri, Oct 19, 2018 at 9:11 AM Jim Reisert AD1C wrote: > On Fri, Oct 19, 2018 at 8:06 AM steve sala K7AWB wrote: > > > There seems to be no rig file directly for the ICOM IC-7610 in my > current latest DX4WIN program. Once done, what do you do with them? Steve, you open the ZIP file and the .RIG file for the 7610 is inside it. Then copy/save that RIG file to your DX4WINI "Radios" directory. After that, start DX4WIN and go to Preferences | Radio tab, and find the IC7610 selection. -- Jim Reisert AD1C, , http://www.ad1c.us __ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net Message delivered to arch...@mail-archive.com This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html

Did you set the baud rate correctly? Which interface are you using between the radio and the computer? Did you previously have a different ICOM radio that worked correctly with DX4WIN? In the 7610 menu settings for CI-V, I typically turn Transceive = OFF. I don't know if that will help in your case. Also remember that only ONE program can access the radio COM port at a time. -- Jim Reisert AD1C, , http://www.ad1c.us __ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net Message delivered to arch...@mail-archive.com This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html

Re: [Dx4win] IC-7610 INI File
I'll be happy to write one if you'll ship me your radio. ;-) Try the 7600 as a starting point, see if that works, although I recall reading on the 7610 reflector that it may need a different default port number. If you're not comfortable doing that yourself, I can do it and send you the RIG file. If that does work, it won't be able to use all the features, but it'll be a starting point.
