In short the questions seems to be:
1 - No doubt many people use and like - love ? - DynAPI. Can we continue
working with it if there is no way to debug and improve it ? (From my point
of view it is NO).
2 - Is there still a team working on D
There are still some differences with DOM compatible
browsers that make have DynAPI worth while.
It's much easier to write apps/widgets that are
reusable with DynAPI than to use DOM!

Another thing, once that's working, you can also use the href property to
show custom statusbar messages, without using onmouseover, onmouseout (if
you don't need backward compatibility).
It seems however that you *must* define a protocol, or the browser shows the
whole path as well.
