That said, I don't think Ekiga is actively maintained any longer. Per
wikipedia, the last stable release was in 2013.

Here is another bug. It occurs after the video is turned off on the fly

I had it under Windows XP with libtheora-1.0 (but not with an earlier
git version) when Ekiga ate up more than 80% CPU. May be the rate
controls of Opal and Theora disagree somehow.

I have problems
with the Logitech Pro. Often Ekiga can not open the device, as if it had
not been closed properly before. Running cheese once or twice inbetween
fixes it.
If you are bying new Cams and have some time to sort out problems I
would recommend the Logitech Pro ones.

Windows too, reliably about 2 sec after a call
has been terminated. It seems to occur in boost. Additionally Win32 has
a crash when an account is removed, see attached gdb back traces. In

(Debian lenny).
It is now possible to test a win32 version.

Another point: Ekiga cannot be compiled since opal version 2258

providing gtk+
as an included installer seems not to conflict with The Gimp or Pidgin
and it asks before upgrading.
Please test !!! Then the Win32 port can become offical.

and had exactly the same build errors. Find attached the
patch for ptlib and the two for opal. Place them into the diff directory
and make the copy sections of the Makefile look as in attached addtomake
file.
