As usual, with the K2 I heard more than I could get to

Do not be misled by the fact that on CW the K2 transmits on the
frequency as displayed, whereas many of the oriental black boxes
transmit a fixed number of Hz (maybe 600Hz) different to the displayed
frequency to give the required offset.
I have encountered a similar problem with

From the description of the noise that the fan on your KPA-100

fairly low on the K2 and I have only
As I start to use the new POWER I have, I'm noticing things. Take the
sidetone for instance.
With the QRP K2, the sidetone sounds pretty good. Put it through an
external audio filter and it sounds even better.
With the K2/100, the more power I run the more low thumps there are on

David, thanks. I think I have sorted it all, at least on CW! I have

The K2 is progressing nicely. Yesterday, I had quite a bit of time to work on
it and installed the internal battery speaker, the K160RX module, and the
KDSP2. These all checked out fine. The rework eliminators and instructions
were quite helpful in getting these options incorporated.

Very key point. If you want to take heat out of a box, you're far

Moving the K2 further from the power supply (power unit)? My PS is

If your power output indication varies with frequency, then it could be that
the KAT2 wattmeter diodes are frequency sensitive.
BUT, I must ask - how do you know your dummy load is not frequency sensitive
as well, and what is the accuracy of your external wattmeter? Many

Thumb tacks or push pins are FB. I prefer the white or clear push pins and
put a loop of the wire in a half hitch around each pin so it remains
tight.

Kieth,
The RF Probe that comes with the K2 will read the RMS value of the RF
voltage.
The RF detector in the DL1 will indicate the zero to peak RF voltage and the
display on an oscilliscope will be the peak to peak voltage.

Plan to use a separate power supply for the interface. The 5 volt line at
