I bought my K3 about 6 months go. The concentric knobs were so out of round
that I couldn't use them. Of course I had a new set but it took a while.
The new ones were not all that great either. They work, but they are
crooked.
I would have thought that by now they would find a decent supplier fo
Greetings;
Anyone have a KAT2 (K2 internal QRP tuner) for sale? Built or kit OK.
Cheers, and happy new year!

Bob,
I have to admit that I have not tested it, yet.
From the Mini-Circuits spec. sheet the LO drive is +7dBm which is
easily produced by most OCXO. Max RF output is +1 dBm with 8-dB
conversion loss so one will need some gain ahead of it if used in a
receiving up-converter. The K3 can gener
No problem with that here, but I think Joe is probably right.
I used to use HRD, but it DID have a tendency to interfere with the operation of
the K3. I believe Joe once said several problems are caused by excessive poling
from HRD.

Can use the switched 12VDC power Accessory socket (coaxial plug) on the back
panel near the power plug. If it is already used for for the P3 or other
accessory, then have to tap into it. It will be 12V instead of 5V though if
that matters to your amp.

Thanks for the link David,
I've just added my K3 & my P3 to the list, now if the DB owner could add a
position in the database so I could add my KPA500 to the list I would do
that too.

A few questions about scanning...
I would like to be able to scan and channel hop frequencies & segments that
span several bands. It seems this is not allowed by the K3 using just the
buttons, but is it possible to do this via programming a macro using /MC/?
If so what is the optimal way to do it?
Hi all,
Are the schematics for the P3 available anywhere? I don't see them on
the Elecraft website.

Hi,
I had a similar problem with setting power. Sometimes it would take several
turns to get the power set where I wanted it especially after the radio had
been on for a while. It took over six months to convince Elecraft there was a
problem. Finally, they send a new power encoder which I ins

I am using ACC pin 7 to turn on my SPE 1K-FA amp, but also need to inhibit

Thanks.

Unfortunately, Dwight, the previous owner has not added #3095 to the
Elecraft Owner Database at

There are some near that serial number dated around May 2010.
I hope that helps. You might like to add yours to the database.

Hi Fred,
Congratulations on your new toy! Once you figure out how to make it do what

want, you will love it! A very nice (and also somewhat complicated) thing
about it
is that the K3 is extremely flexible, and you can make it do just about
anything in
many different configurations!

I've bought a used K-3 (hasn't arrived yet) with the serial # of 3095.

Are you using Ham Radio Deluxe and is it trying to reset the power to
