Hi Elecrafters
By popular request we have upgraded our hugely popular KX3 stand. It now
shows your callsign in yellow paint-filled engraving. It has taken us a
while to get this technique perfect but we think that we have it cracked
now!
VK3JY's stand is shown here:
Sorry Ariel, Hit the wrong button...Should of course have sent it to the
list instead of you.
I tried NaP3 but I'm afarid I am too much a HDSDR type so I get stuck on
using PowerSDR and it's derivatives.
I tried NaP3 with my simple SoftRock mixer on 30 meters and found that
indeed it
OK, so I installed NaP3 as I said before.
Now I got my KX3 hooked up, set the rig control to KX3, connected the
I/Q output cable to the Creative Xfi soundcard on my laptop, set the com
port to the same as found with the KX3 util (com3 4800 baud) and it
worked out of the box
I must confess
Go to panadapter .com and download ver 2.6 it does a much better job of
getting rid of the zero freq spike.

Yes. The behavior you're asking for is the current KX3/KXPA100

The KX3's power knob then ranges from 0 to around 100 watts. The KXPA100
power amplifier is bypassed at power levels that the KX3 alone can provide,

Hi Dick,
Thanks, that works a treat.
I wonder if it's worth considering a firmware update to make the KX3
better for standalone Morse practice without the terminal program. I
think all that's required is either a program or fixed delay before the

David,
Assuming you already have serial control of your rotor, then I can
suggest two ways to control remotely without using a PC at the radio side:
1) If you are not using the RRC's COM1, you can use that to control the
rotor as well. This passes the serial port over the internet
2) If
