Do you have a sub-receiver? Without it, I don’t think you have any signal to hear. Why use Line Out for speakers. There is a perfectly good jack marked Speakers right next to the Phones jack. Be sure and use a Stereo plug but it is for wait for it. Speakers! Sent from my iPhone

Gernot, If you have the subRX, why not tune to listen for those off-frequency stations with the VFO B knob. Your transmit frequency is unchanged on VFO A, so no need for RIT unless you are only listening to the mainRX. An easy VFO A>B pushbutton will put VFO on the same frequency as VFO A

I use my PX3 on a sailboat in a go-kit and frequently sit out in the cockpit with the PX3-KX3 and a Raspberry PI 7" touch screen (and RPI of course). I do have to turn-up the PX3 LCD brightness pretty high though. But the PX3 can get bright enough for me. It does consume more power of course.
