When my KPA500 hums, I assume it is a power quality problem.
It only hums when a curling iron or coffee maker, both of which are on
different circuits, are in operation.

Just installed the KAT2 in a newly assembled K2. At power levels greater than
8.0 watts, the K2 was displaying the high current warning. The KAT2 power
calibration was calibrated by measuring voltage with the K2's RF probe at the
feed point to a dummy load.
I removed the KAT2 and remeasured
Ended up using scissors to trim a plastic toothpick into a slug-tuned inductor
adjustment tool.

Test, Part II. The fourth step, connect the frequency prob to TP3 and select
CAL FCTR, my display reads 439 +/- 2; when selecting BAND- the display reads
12086.32 steady. BAND+ and the display is back at 439 +/- 2.

I thought I read something about this recently, but I can't find the thread in
the Elecraft nabble archives.
Frequently when I power-on my KX2, the internal speaker is dead. To get it
working again, I remove the internal battery, jiggle the speaker wires, replace
the internal battery and back
My K3S (100w PA, no subRX, no ATU) has an audible sound (from inside the
chassis) that is reminiscent of a flyback transformer squeal. The sound
diminishes or completely goes away when using GNUradio’s rigctld + software
panadapter. Is it possible the KIO3B stops making noise during high
