Now my club is nixing a close community effort I'm going to operate FD as
2E running K3/P3 at 100W. Neighbor AF4B operating across the road from me
with his K3. Vertical antenna on my front lawn and me operating from my

Mine a has a similar effect that I noticed during /P in QRPTTF yesterday.
Possibly RF getting back into the rig ? Was using open wire feedline and a
4:1 balun.

On my K3 DISP display I have a parameter reading
0.000 located after the date and before the supply
voltage. Anybody know what this might be? I can't
see anything referencing it in the manual.

K3/100/atu/2.8khz/400hz kit arrived in Mansfield,
TX today at 6:30pm. I think Brown must go to
Mouser first.
Ordered 8 months ago on June 9 with a down payment
at Hamcom in TX.

Thanks to those who replied directly about the MH2.
I took the mic apart and couldn't see anything wrong so rechecked the
sideband balance. Today I'm getting good reports with the MH2.

Anybody know of a Radio Shack microphone that will work with the K2.
My MH2 is getting reports of being muffled to the point that the audio
is not readable. Wondered if I could get an RS Mic as a quick
replacement. Not sure if this anything internal to the K2 or the Mic

I am in the same position except I measured it with a multimeter set to
the AC millivolts range (on Gary Surrency's advice) and the
I think KX1 #1229 weighing in at 1.25lbs was the highest placed Elecraft rig
in the Nov. Spartan Sprint Skinny division. That's judging by the weights of
the preceding 9 finishers. I was using the KX1 with 4 Lithium Polymer
(3.27AH) cells in series running at 16.5 volts, with the power turned DO
BB # 67 (my age) will be QRV at a Mansfield TX school field T'storm permitting
with K2 #2887 and an 88ft doublet at 33ft.
