Hi all, The encoder on the KX2 is turning very roughly. I suspect it got hit
and is broken inside. I understand it is a standard part. I am hesitant to take
the radio apart without some kind of roadmap. Any help on disassembly to get to
the encoder?
Thanks, Doug

Just a peripheral note- the K3 seems not to have a handedness. It works fine
for either left or right-handed people. The K4 seems obviously a right-handed
radio with the main tuning knob on the right. I am sure they couldn't make a

Well, this works the best for me for portable.
From the ground up- a speaker stand, a 15' painter pole, a right angle pole

This works for 14MHz and up as the ham sticks are a good portion of a quarter
