[Elecraft] KPod "Memory Helper"

2018-09-28 Thread Kenneth Moorman

How loud are these beeps? I can barely hear mine and only if I put my ear directly above the KPod front panel. I suspect I have a defective sound device and am not that hard of hearing. Ken, NU4I -Original Message- From: elecraft-boun...@mailman.qth.net

It's S9+5dB here in coastal VA and seems to be loudest from my NE quadrant as I use my K9AY Loop to receive it. Using CW Skimmer to observe it I can see some sort of rather deep drops in the received signal lasting only several milliseconds that is not related to any QSB. I also see upper and

I use it this way too, and agree it is very helpful. I wish there were a way to either expand or contract the frequency range displayed sort of like Rocky does to be able to get the big picture first and then home in in a more detailed search. 73, Ken, NU4I -Original Message- From:

[Elecraft] PLL Control Voltage Range

I have been having some flakey operation with the main receiver in SN 1292 recently which I believe I have cured for the moment by re-calibrating the main VCO. As suggested in the manual, I have been observing the PLL control voltages on the VFO B display. Depending on the band, it is varying

[Elecraft] Use of PC power supplies with K2

2010-10-03 Thread Kenneth Moorman
I would like to hear from anyone who has attempted to use one of the small external PC AC adapter power supplies with a K2. They are, of course, switchers, so I am not very hopeful. I have found a couple of possible candidates, one a Meanwell P40A-4PSJ rated at 13.8 volts at 2.66 amps and the

[Elecraft] Use of PC power supplies with K2

2010-10-03 Thread Kenneth Moorman
Thanks John, I should have stated that this would be the K2/10. These little switchers are the sort that powered laptops. They are sealed units with single output voltages, not the boxes that go into the desktop machines with multiple output voltages. I should have been clearer about this.

[Elecraft] K3 in AM-Sync Mode Receiving WWV
