The Weight control adds the same time extension to both Dit and Dah,
therefore, as the weight changes, so will the Dit to Dah ratio.
I also find that the KX3 keyer does not have a Weight of 1 when set to
1.00, it's close to 0.80. The Weight control needs to be set to 1.20 to
have a

I normally keep the K3's CW WGT setting at 1.0 because I like the 3:1
Dah:Dit ratio and the 1:1 Dit:Space ratio. When I tried that with the
KX3 it sounded horrible to my ears - very choppy. So I set up to measure
the Dit, Dah and Space times with an oscilloscope. I can transmit into a
