No way that I know of. I always grabbed the manual and manually set
everything back to defaults.

You must first tap DISPLAY to get into the DSP menu.
Without being in a DSP menu, a hold of STORE+RCL normally puts you into
a Direct Frequency Entry state which will display the dashes that you see.

While it's true that some digital modes can be heard well below the sound

the most popular like PSK-31.
The right answer is for me to move up to a K3.

Any attempt to compare my experience with yours depends on the noise, which
is as variable one place to the next as snowflakes.

Jon,
The KDSP2 will reduce the noise - the nr is quite effective.
However, if you operate digital modes, I don't think you should be using
noise reduction with digital modes, it will reduce your copy. Many
digital modes can decode at or below the noise level anyway, and th

KDSP2 has two firmware versions associated with it: the Control board

DSP, which interfaces only with the control board.
The latest versions are:
CTL 3.10
DSP 3.18

that's all subjective, but I'd be interested in hearing what folks are

For some reason the noise level was higher than normal at my QTH last

I'd like to have a variable bandwidth filter on my K2, controlled by an

I see the KDSP2 module uses open source code.
Would it allow me to sense a couple binary inputs (or even a variable

The DSPx module hardware does not include an ADC to measure control
voltage, but it does have some unused digital I/O pins that could read
buttons, or perhaps an encoder, if you wrote the code to do it.
There is plenty of unused program memory and lots of available DSP
horsepower for such

I hate that module. There is no reset, and once installed it is the
most unfriendly filter to use.
In fact I pretty much put my K2 on the shelf after putting in the KDSP2.
Just my 2 cents.

Dave,
The KDSP2 schematics are in the KDSP2 instruction manual.
The schematic shows C1 on the DSPx module as a 10 uF/16v capacitor

damaged, you can likely make a repair with small gauge wire, assuming

Kevin,
Since you are searching for a possible break in the board traces or a
thru-plated hole, you may do better with a scan of the board rather than
the schematic. There are scans of the KDSP2 board available at Tom
