Hi Don:
I will have to verify the cable once it arrives as it was listed as a
SVGA Cable but it was fairly cheap and off eBay. I guess only time will
tell.
To the group, does anyone have a good reliable source for the cable. Tnx.

Mike,
Any "Y" cable that has all 15 conductors connected straight through with
none connected to another pin will work.
A "VGA" Y cable will not work because it has several conductors
connected together. An SVGA "Y" cable should have all conductors
independent, but verify that with the cable
I stand corrected, I have found a Wye cable that uses the following:
1 x D-Sub (HD-15) Male, 2 x D-Sub (HD-15) Female

One question, is there a particular Y cable I should be looking at or
will any Y (Wye) cable work, ie for Video Card to Dual Monitors. They
both have the DB15 connectors.

Rich,
Power up your planned band decoder standalone and measure the voltage at
its band data inputs. If you see zero volts (or very close to that),
then it will be OK as long as those inputs will not source too much
current when the K3 band data lines are low.
OTOH, if you measure a voltage
Thanks for all the replies,
I plan on connecting a band decoder to the 2nd wye and it only
receives/monitors the band data, it doesn't send anything back to the
rig. So it looks like a 2nd wye should do the trick.
Thanks

The problem is not with adding another "Y" cable, but the possibility
that the other device will interfere with the band signalling to the KPA500.
If that other device has pullup resistors, that can create problems,
