I can't get the software to power on the amplifier or connect
to it.
And, yes, the Wake on Lan function in the tech menu is enabled.
If I manually power it on, then it connects and even turns off
the amp.
The KPA 1500 Utility, using the same ports and cable, does power it on
and off.

I am trying to set up the KPA1500 Remote Software to access my KPA1500
from a distant location over the internet. Some questions:
Will I be successful using a reserved IP rather than a static IP?
The laptop I plan to use as a server is on the same LAN as the KPA1500.
When I click the Host
Well, I got it to work finally, tnx to all and Paul, K9NU ..
Now the question is, is it possible to control the amp remotely WITHOUT having
a dedicated PC running ?
VPN, different port forwarding . some other configuration ?
Or is it just not possible the way the software is written and
The KPA1500 remote utility is a very nice and useful control program to have.
I’m using the latest – ver 1.0.22. I wonder if Roger might consider (in his
next update to this program) enhancing the bargraph displays for power,
current, and SWR, so that there is a way to see relative readings
Ah of course, stupid me. I was expecting it with the KPA1500
soft/firmware. Thank you.

I'm reading in the Elecraft newsletter that the KPA1500 remote software
v1.22 is available now.
I'm not seeing any links.
