Your question seems to imply that you believe increased dwell will make the
KPA1500 run cooler. I wonder if you have any test data that supports that
assumption. My testing

I am trying to get my amp to run cooler.
2) Does anyone offer a KX3 to KPA1500 serial cable, and a K2 to KPA1500 serial
cable for sale? No, I can no longer build them myself, even though they are
Mark,
The amplifier is not keyed while the KAT1500 is tuning.
Similar to the KPA500 and KAT500.
You do not have to put the amp in standby, it is done automatically.

Hi Jay,
Why would you need the HF AUTO ("My question is this. Is there an option with
the KPA1500 that I don't have to reach over and keep hitting stand-by on the
amplifier every time I need to touch up the HF-Auto")? Th

the K3S into a Palstar HF Auto that tunes several antennas on my property.
I have had a lot of amplifiers in the past, from solid state to tube amps.

Yes, the KX2 or KX3, when transmitting through the KXPA100 amp, can drive the
KPA1500 to full output. :-)
