Your original post said you were working on the KRC2. Your last post stated
you had it configured as the KRC2ACC. The KRC2ACC uses different firmware,
and behaves differently than the basic KRC2. The KRC2ACC accessibility
upgrade and operation instructions indicate how the KRC2ACC firmware
Bingo! I had loaded the correct firmware, but it never occurred to me that
the checkout procedures for the -ACC version differed from the basic
version. Everything checks out FB.

Those button functions on the KRC2ACC firmware do different things than
the basic KRC2 firmware.
If you have the KRC2ACC firmware loaded, it will not pass the tests
given in the basic KRC2 manual.
You could download and install the KRC2 firmware for that testing, and
then install the
