Hi Stephen, I think you'll do just fine. The K2 is an excellent transceiver and the build is straight forward and most enjoyable. Just follow the manual and you'll be fine. No test equipment is required to build the K2 other than a dmm and a dummy load. You do need to take esd precautions

Stephen, Go for it, you'll really enjoy assembling a K2. Suggest you start with a basic K2 plus the K2SB SSB board and a K2AT antenna tuner. Use a good power supply. I use an Elpac 6 amp model that I picked up at a Hamfest for $10.00 Good luck and keep the list informed as to your progress.
