I recently built a PX3 and was going through some of the learning process.
I was changing FixTrack and FixMode settings and I am not sure what I did,
but in either FixTrack setting, the signals seemed to converge from both
directions to the cursor, and when they did, I was tuned to a CW signal.
I have a KX3 and a PX3. The KX3 has all the options including the KX3-2M
2 meter transverter. I have not used the transverter a lot because I
have been preoccupied using the KX3 on HF.
Anyway, when I began using the PX3, I swear that it displayed the
signals received on 2 meters, but now it
I just purchased a PX3 for my KX3 and KPA100 for my cottage in Canada. I
connected it as per instructions and it works well. I have one issue, when I
change bands on the KX3 the display on the PX3 flickers when the band is tuned.
The only way to stop the flickering is to cycle the PX3 off
: [Elecraft] PX3 question
Stan,
If you position the PX3 to the left of the KX3, the two units can be
positioned within 0.5 of each other when using all right-angle plugs,
which makes the combined chassis width 13.5.

Nice idea, but mounting the PX3 behind the KX3 as one unit would impact the
cooling.

Sounds like I've finally arrived -- I could never afford an S Line

I'd just like to see it stated in a print ad in QST and I'll die a happy

As others have said, the IQ connecting cable is very short. Although you
can place the PX3 to the left of the KX3, it ends up as quite a long pair,
especially if any of your KX3 connectors are straight instead of
right-angle. I've found it both neater and more ergonomic to place the PX3

Side-by-side works best for me. Today I installed all right angle
connectors. I was going to build a nice long ramp (I'm handy and I'm
not too bad at wood working) but instead I decided to order two more
ready-made ramps from Steve W1SFR at http://kx3helper.com/

Stan, I’m one month into the KX3 and PX3. The PX3 cables are reasonably short,
and yes, they are the right angle things. Happy to measure for you tonight, if
you wish, but in my case, the PX3 sits directly to the left of the KX3 and the

Hi, Stan
I'm not sure how you want this measured, so here's a couple of measurements
for you...
Using the PX3CBL cable kit that comes with the PX3, the maximum separation
between the two units is about 8 inches.(from the right of the PX3 to the
left of the KX3)
Measured from the outside edges
