No I meant Jlog http://jlog.org it's Java based, so runs on any
platform. It's pretty good; about the best that I have found for Linux.

You shouldn't need any special drivers. I have used a USB/Serial adaptor
with Mandrake without any problems. I can't remember the details but you
simply use /dev/USBtty0 or whatever port you are on.
Do a google and you will find the details; it's quite straight forward.
I would use Linux more
