Remove the KAT100 AUX I/O cable and see if you can connect. If so, the
problem is in the KAT100 or its cable to the K2.

with my K2. That has been resolved. Now I have a new problem that surfaced
late last night. I was using the automatic antenna tuner and on 20 meters and
it seemed it was laboring tryin to tune. It tuned alright.

John K3JK here, Would someone give me some feedback on my K2? I plugged a
mono plug into my keyer jack when I was using an external keyer. I might have
shorted a resistor or diode. now as soon as i plug the keyer in with a stereo
plug, i get a constant carrier. When I had the mono plug

I seriously doubt that plugging a mono plug in the K2 key jack would
cause any damage - although the K2 would do strange things while the
mono plug was inserted.
To check it out, plug a bare (no wires attached) stereo plug into the
key jack. If you then get a constant carrier, look
