Hi Martin,

I am using the first version of the band decoder from remoteqth.com

Steve,
I am not familiar with the Acom amp and its needs, but if it needs 4
discrete band data lines, those are available on the ACC connector. See
the K3S manual for the pins.
The only lines on the RS-232 line (or USB) are RXD, TXD and Signal
Ground, and band data is present on the
Steve,

Not exactly. When using the USB port for CAT control of the radio, the RS232
(RJ45) port becomes a listen-only CAT echo of the responses sent by the K3S to
the USB port. I am unfamiliar with the Acom amplifier's
Is SPE 1.3K-FA already being shipped to customers?
If it is similar to 1K-FA I would better use CAT control instead of band
data. Makes the amp switching while K3 is in RX mode.

I have an SPE 1K-FA and my K3 switches bands with no mods, just a cord. The
band data is available on the 15 pin D Shell connector on the back. My
TS-480SAT has some issues but does most of the functions. I don't know, but
suspect that the 1.3K works like the 1K.

See pages 18 and 19 of the K3 Operator's Manual for information on the
band data outputs.

Is that data written down anywhere, that I can get to ?

Can anyone tell me if the K-3 band data outputs are the same as Yaesu? If
so, what are the pin equivalents? I would like to use my K3 with an Array

Please see the K2 Owner's Manual for details. The information is on

Yes. Please see N0SS's excellent documentation on connecting
the K3 to a Quadra amplifier. The cable shown on that page
(http://www.n0ss.net/k3-to-quadra_12jul09.pdf) will give you
all of the corresponding pins between the K3 ACC jack and the
Yaesu (DIN8/262) Band Data jack.

Is it possible to access K2 band data information in order to make it

I can answer that. By far the best way to get band data is to decode
the frequency returned by an IF; serial command. Having the frequency
allows you quite a bit of freedom in what you do with it, especially
since you can create sub bands or segments within each band. This
could be useful
