You will have to wait for the KX3 external amplifier. The plan is for
it to work with other QRP transceivers too.
You can also use any linear amplifier. For instance, the KPA500 will
provide greater than 100 watts output from a QRP K2.

Yeah, in fact it hit my LOTW in the middle of last week, and on the same
day my HK0NA cards came in the mail. That was a good
Bill,
Just added an Astron VS-35M to the shack after nearly 20 years with a RS-35m
which is still working like new. I went with the variable supply so I could
dial
up the output voltage to meet charge requirements for a 12V gel cell.
I wouldn't go to any switchers for fixed service if I could
Greetings
I have found the K2 to open to modification.
I have an early version the the HFPacker. It was supposed to trigger by
sensing RF.
This strategy did not work very well.
I put a switch in the K2 that sensed sent a signal to the HFP. This
worked perfectly and drives the HFP at 40 watts
You can rebuild Astron supplies and there's even an article and circuit
boards available.

search for PS-15D-122 $5 and don't forget to add $5.50 for shipping.

I am having a ball here on vacation in Paris with my KX3 #151. For info, wire
ants in small
hotel rooms don't get out well. Be sure and get as much spacing from the
concrete walls as possible.
I had to toss the hex nut into the gutter on the slate roof. So far have
worked an LA5 and EN2012U
All,
Just a reminder that if you would like to see how a KX3 goes together,
there will be short video describing the whole process on the live
HamNation broadcast tomorrow night, 6/12 at 6pm PT / 9pm ET: The
broadcast will be shown at http://twit.tv/hn.
If you miss it, the video will be posted
