I am going to send this out to both reflectors, Elecraft and MicroHam because I am not sure where I have set up the system incorrectly. The system does work intermittently and I have had successful QSOs with it on both CW and digital modes. Setup; K3, MicroHam USB 3, Y cable to ACC to USB 3

Did you find your problem? Any fault codes? I suggest contacting supp...@elecraft.com, but if were me, I'd check all internal connections first and do a quick visual. I suspect a problem with the elaborate TR switching circuit or something that controls it. I see a couple 51 ohm resistors on

Keith, I cna perhaps help with your inability to get 4 bars on the ALC meter with the 5th bar flickering - not that the 5th bar indicates the onset of ALC, those bars below the 5th are an aid to setting the proper audio level. I suspect you are connected to the K3 Line In jack. That means it

I had the damnest time getting my K2 and usb converter to work. Check all params baud rates, com port #'s and nothing. Blue screen of death is usually caused by a wrong chip set. Update drivers make sure you are using FTDI chip set. This is my advise, but more info needed such as rig, brand

one more bit of info. If I use the tuner into 50 ohms it finds a match but when I manually transmit the swr through the tuner is high, for example 4.4:1 on 40. Bypassing the tuner gives the 1:1 expected with the dummy load, although at 30 some watts. I really think there is a floating cable

Martin, I had it working on my other K3 real well with DM780 except for CW and then when I wanted to get CW working it seemed to mess with digital modes. The Y connector is from the recommended vendor. And I have NR had significant rfi issues in a long while but I will check it out. I

It would be very difficult to measure the out of band noise in the presence of a 100W PEP multi-tone audio signal. Much of the opposite sideband noise would be masked by amplifier IMD which measures -29 dB (3rd order) to -51 dB (9th order) relative to PEP in the ARRL lab (QST, January, 2009).
