Hi all,
Thanks for the overwhelming number of offers to preview the revised AX-Line
documents. We took the first 20 or so. Sorry I can't respond to all the rest.
Sure appreciate all of the enthusiasm and support from the Elecraft community

73,
I'm still clearing the decks for the purchase of a couple of K4 rigs and
will have a K3/0 and 5 RemoteRig 1258 MK boxes (2 MK I and 3 MK II) posted
no later than tomorrow but today's listing is my KX2 before I list it on
eBay. It is in fantastic 10/10 condition and you can read about it on
Don...
I got one of the original Clifton Lab boards and installed it in my K2
[after you had serviced the unit]. Installation required a choice of
pick off points: right after the first mixer, and somewhere else a bit
more isolated [don't have the instructions before me]. I chose the
first.
SOLD! Thanks

Have noticed that for several years here; at one time I thought it was
my age :-)
Checked it today ~ it jumps ~ but by turning it slowly, it usually
follows OK

Clark,
I have installed the original Z1 buffer amp in several K2s. They
work very well. The DXE version is prebuilt, and should simplify
installation.
I see 3 reviews on the DXE website (but none for the K2), and they all
show it as excellent and easy to install.

So it's normal, I guess, that every new user of a product “rediscovers" some of
its unique characteristics.
I rediscovered the issue of the effects of the KXPA100 on PX3 cursor behavior,
making it twitchy and jumpy. Since there has been previous discussion of a fix
that Elecraft chimed in
If you're a potential user of our soon-to-be-released AXE1 40 meter extender
for the AX1 antenna, and you have a bit of time to review some documentation,
please email me directly. If I don't get back to you it means we got too many
volunteers :)
tnx

Not sure about a review at DXE, but categorically anything cooked up by
the late Jack Smith K8ZOA is an exceptional performer. The CLifton
ports that DXE has done have been well implemented so you can expect
good results.
I've used the original Clifton version of the board in a number of
Looking for comments about the reissue of this amp as I'm considering
adding a panadapter to my venerable (and very capable) K2. There is only
one review at DXE and it is not very complimentary.

For sale is a like-new Y-Box (version 1.3) 4-way splitter and breakout box for
the Elecraft K3 and K3s. Comes with one 2.5’ M/M cable for connection to the
K3 or K3S. Check it out at https://www.kkn.net/~n6tv/Y-BOX/
To buy this brand new would cost $139 plus shipping. Buy mine for $70.00,
I'd suggest using RIG for SPLIT mode. This takes care of any issues of concern

The long quote is not describing the difference between "Rig" and "Fake
It". It is describing the difference between "Rig" or "Fake It" (either
one) and "None". It is the difference between having some method to QSY the
radio between RX and TX (either "Rig" or "Fake It" can do that), and not
I'm using a KX2/KXPA100 at 40W on a Win10 laptop with WSJT-X 2.1.0 for FT8.
Antenna is a G5RV at 40ft with base ATU 150ft away. I've been advised
elsewhere that "Fake It" is a better choice than "Rig" for Split Mode: "it
depends on what filter the radio has. Most are 2.4Khz (300-2700). If so you
