I am new to the list, even though, I have been an Elecraft fan for years(K1
#907).
I now have a new to me K2 #1543. I have already fallen in love with it. I
have a small problem. I would like to go to the wider RIT range---I have read
the manual several times and have decided that
Wow! Ask and you shall receive!!
Thanks for the many that responded. Also some suggested that I use the split
feature and explained that process to me.

the backlight--Gene and could have made both ours work without trimming,
however, we did go ahead and trim to 1.25 inches.

One thing to remember is that if you operate any of the contest with your K1
you are taking away a band option if you go with 17 meters. No contest
allows 17 meter operation---all include 15 meters. This is true for the
purely qrp events i.e. qrp to the field, zombie hunt, etc.

Hi Gang,
Our 2nd run of KD1JV swr/pwr meters is now sold out. That is the bad
