Please

I have been thinking about writing my own program for the PIC16 but if
someone has already done this, I would like to talk to them.

PF1/PF2 keys on the K3 to cause the KRC2 to activate a couple of relays?
If so, where can if find the information to do this?

Thanks Jack,
This sounds promising. I would much rather push a button on the K3 than
type a command.
I will stay tuned for the K3 Macro Wizard to respond!

intermittent connection problems.
I am going to look for a better adaptor or make a 1/8 to 1/4 cable.
The question is, what kind of connector does the K3 have for key input (not
paddle)? Is it a 3-conductor connector (stereo) or a 2-conductor (mono)
connector?

Subject: RE: [Elecraft] K3 will not display decoded CW
Hi Craig,
4.51 does have some problems decoding CW and the beta 4.58 is better
with a microphone plugged directly into the control RemoteRig box. The
PTT does work OK.
Any ideas on this one?

(try with a dummy load), the two meters should both read
1:1.
Try a very short piece of coax or a PL-259 to PL-259 coupler between the
radio and the external meter and see if that gets you a closer reading. In
any case as stated below it is the SWR at the final amplifier that counts.

Subject: Re: [Elecraft] Fwd: K3 Failed DSP Firmware
I am still a new K3 user and learning the radio. I have looked through the
manual a couple of times and I cannot find out how to turn APF on. I must
be missing that. It sounds like a useful feature and might help pull VP8ORK
out of the noise.

Thanks to all the replied offline.
I now have the latest manual (D9 version) and the release notes for the
firmware. Let's see if it helps my pull VP8ORK out of the noise on 80m
tonight.
I did work them on 40m CW and SSB last night with the K3 and an ALS-1300
amp.

and does not listen (half duplex) while it is sending,
causing strange band switching behavior on the amp.
Has anyone controlled an Ameritron solid state amp with a KRC2?

Of course these days many of us need glasses to find the radio...
