The quilting machine my wife bought when she took it up would buy 2 fully
loaded K3s "Contester/DXer" packages.
That's just the machine not the fabric or thread. Before she passed I had
gotten very well acquainted with the vagaries of quilting thread and fabric
retailers.

It sure does sound like a Skype issue.
At work we use Skype and Cisco Webex for remote video display of meetings. In
either app if you touch any button on the hardware or software IP phones, even
to mute them, the software will mute the presentation.
Is the K3s set to beep on button presses?
I must have missed it but I am getting ready to order a KX Line and don't
see the KXAT100 option.

On the low bands 160/80 nothing beats a Beverage, built correctly. It's a
very inefficient antenna and wouldn't radiate worth a crap. On the low bands
we're looking for increased signal to noise ratio NOT maximum gain. 160m
verticals can be pretty efficient radiators. They stink on receive because
For those of us who are visually challenged black on anything is very tough.
The one exception to the rule is computer screens. A black or dark

I think Elecraft should seriously consider changing the color of the

I assume the RPI is going to have some software that calculates and adjusts

way most all NTP servers get their time from an NIST time base...NOT GPS.

The GPS system is vulnerable. The systems at NIST aren't nearly as

GPS is a navigation system it is not a time keeping system. Every ballistic

Classic pissing contest about whose wire is better.
What is the maximum current draw for the amp?
#6 AWG copper is rated at 101 amps for chassis wiring and 37 amps for power
transmission, not this case.
#6 will fit a 75 amp PP connector. (stick it in the hole squeeze it and solder
it) and has
I have run a TS-520 on PSK and MFSK. Diddeling with the mic gain does nothing.
I used the ALC out of the rig to control the power.
Here is my tune up procedure. SSB mode, tune the final stage for maximum

SMA's are also supposed to be torqued to 9 lb./in.. They make break over open

They are spendy so unless your installing hundreds of the things I'd use a deep

I believe the K3(s) starts folding back PO at an SWR of 2:1 or higher with
100W out.
At 25 - 50W out you may never get to fold back unless your trying to use a
light bulb for an antenna (tribute to N6BT).

I rolled my own.
Normally open push button switch built into an old 35mm film container a hunk
of RG-174 coax and a 1/4 inch jack. You could spend a ridiculous amount of
money and get the official Heil switch which was built into a pistol grip.
