No, you're not the only one. Some people use off-band split, so auto conformance of TX band to RX would break that. Since a double press of AB brings B on band very quickly, it does not appeal to me as a great step saver. The logging programs set the split explicity by writing the

Thanks, Guy - I'm not sure what you mean by off-band split. I was just wondering if there was a setting I didn't know about. I think you mean my first question. Pressing B SET I can set B to a different mode.Then when I go into split, the B mode blinks above the A mode, and the pointer to B

Thanks, Michael - Since I don't have the SUB RX, and B is always the xmit VFO, I'm not sure why B SET even works, except maybe for modes. I had the same scenario as you, and it took me longer to figure out! I dunno how the mode got set differently on B. The double tap is a good tip. Mike
