Something that has always surprised me is that the K2 has no front panel indication of when it is on transmit. The only way to tell is when there is no audio out of the loudspeaker, or the S meter has no LED's lit. If the AF gain were turned fully down there is no way of knowing. I can put my

I've used the AT11-MP with my K2/100 (I wanted the metering). You should be able to use the KAT100 with the addition of the KIO for QRP without any problem. You can keep or sell the KIO once you go with the KPA100. With the LDG, you just won't have the quick band change as with the KAT100 directly

I have had my K2/100 with KDSP2 for 4 months now and almost never use the DSP. The stock filters in the K2 seem to work just as good, and often better, than the DSP filters but that is very much a matter of taste I think. I operate only cw and my comments apply only to cw mode. I like the

I have to disagree with the other guys .. I like the DSP in some circumstances, it seems to be able to dig weak CW out of the noise on occasions where I can't hear it at all with the normal filter (and just barely with no filter). Where it really shines in on the digital modes .. I user the RTTY

The following is only my opinion... I had the KAF2 and then built the KDSP2. The denoiser is ok, but I found that the DSP filters made the rig hard to listen to. This is more pronounced on SSB. The auto-notch was helpful, but it didn't make up for the irritating quality of the DSP filters. I

Michael, If you are unable to adjust the AGC Threshold to 3.8 volts or higher with the RF gain control set fully clockwise, the first thing to check is the 8A voltage supply rail. Checking it directly on RP6 pin 3 would be the best, but if you can't get to that point with power on, check at the

HI all. I'm doing the test and alignment on the KPA 100. My trouble starts when I try the SWR bridge null adjustment. No matter what I do with C1 I can't get a 1.0-1 indication on the K2 LCD. When I adjust C1 the indicated power out swings from low to high but the SWR doesn't change at all.
