Why are we using the term microcode here? When I think of microcode, I
think of the code within a cpu that takes the machine code from outside
the processor and turns it into the signals that move and manipulate the
data within the processor, turning on and off registers and paths. When

What VMs did you 'test' that had bad performance?

That's quite a markup, but it should fund quite a few other projects. ;)

One thing you might try is use Windows disk management in the
administrative tools section of control to partition the large thumb
drive with a first fat32 partition that is 2 or 4 GB - if your whole
drive is fat32 you should just be able to shrink it down to a size that
may work. If it isn't
And yet, I have no idea which Elecraft rig you are referring to here.
Drives us K1, K2, KX3 owners crazy.

Why the restriction in shipping to the lower 48 only? Shipping to Alaska
or Hawaii may cost a little more but I've not seen any reason for such a
restriction.
I respect and welcome your reply.

An optimist believes we live in the best of all worlds. A pessimist fears
this is true.

It seems that Tamiya has their own Elecraft catalog. Interesting but
not near as interesting as OUR Elecraft. Just search for Elecraft and
Tamiya on the auction site.

Greetings,
I'm going through the cal procedure for transmit bias. Once I tap
XMIT, it seems to stay there forever with the current bouncing around
between .04-.06 A but it never seems to complete. Am I supposed to
cancel by hitting XMIT again or am I supposed to wait ?

Greetings all,
I’ve been using HDSDR with Omin-Rig with a Xiegu G90 and was able to get
the panadapter setup working with my KX3 by itself. Now I want to add my
KXPA100 into the setup and am wondering how the cabling should be
configured.
I have my computer connected from the KX3 ACC1 port
This is a resend since I did not see any response to my question the
first go around.

Greetings,
Has anyone using Win4K3 Suite with a KX3 and KXPA100 been able to get
the KXPA100 to show up in the Controller menu ? Is another KXUSB cable
required? How is your system all connected? Is this even necessary or
even possible ? I have my KXPA100 and KX3 connected as diagrammed
Hi Don,
Thanks for the recommendations and comments. Both the KXPA utility
and the KX3 utility communicate fine with my hardware setup. I'm
guessing the WIn4K3 Suite does not properly communicate with both
devices through one com port. I'll see if I can post on their groups.io
forum and
Neil,
I'm glad you took this discussion in this direction. I, too, wear BTE
aids and though I spend most time on CW, from time to time it is nice to
work SSB. The chat here has got me thinking how I might use my Sennheiser
headphones with foam pads as they are wonderful for music at least.
Greetings,
Before I do something stupid like strip the threads on the mount
hole, does anyone know what the thread size is ?? Metric or US? 4-40
perhaps?

repaired several where that happened. The usual symptom of that
damage is that the KX1 goes into transmit as soon as power is applied.

Greetings,
A long time ago, someone manufactured and offered a pair of
unfinished aluminum side brackets/panels for the K2 for those of us who
wanted to replace them with something with handles much like rack mount
equipment would have. I purchased these but do not know who made/sold
Thanks for the interest. The bracket/side panels have been spoken for.
