Richard,
The last time I checked www.cbscheme.org , the Ukraine was listed,
but not as an issuer or recognizing NCB for CB Reports for ITE, or OFF.

The best information that I found a year ago was that they are part of the
CB scheme and certain (unknown) products must be certified for safety and
EMC and be marked accordingly.

Is anyone familiar with the Ukraine safety and EMC requirements for ITE
products? Also, is there an online source of information for this?
Thanks for your help!

UL has no problem with components bridging the insulation, provided you
comply with the appropriate testing in the standard and provide otherwise
appropriate clearances and creepages (just as you expected).

Dear All,
Does anyone have experience with bridging resitors between TNV-3 to SELV?
1. What is UL's position?
2. What is the European position? TUV and others?

My position is that if with the resistors, the circuit can withstand the

Hey Kelly -
I've neither heard nor had this requested as a product requirement, for
either safety or reliability. I mainly deal with permanently connected
products, but I would imagine the concerns would be similar (if they were
significant).

A standard pole pig has a 167KVA or

The max 600 amp estimate was probably very close to

For heavier currents, the electrical

Has anyone ever heard of a power cord tested to see if its jacket is
resistant to halon? Fyi, I've already contacted Panel, but they indicated
that they do not test for the effects of this chemical.
Thanks for any help!

Hi George,
I remember a couple of years ago South Africa requiring that our US EMC
reports somehow were traceable to EAL, e.g. issued by a US-based lab with
some affiliation/endorsement by a European lab. I don't think they accept
CE-marking per se.
I'm pretty sure they'll accept CB reports
