Hello Bostjan:
Ifthe LCD display is certified and the monitor
is not, I would ignore the whole monitor as it
is supplied by SELV and LPS, which makes it
non-critical to safety and certification.
Best regards,

Hello Richard,
Thank you for your reply.
Unit that we certify is composed of power supply, UPS, PC, some low voltage
electronics and LCD monitor supplied by external AC/DC adapter. LCD monitor is
not approved, but internal panel is UL approved.
So if I understand you correctly, it is enough to

Hello Richard,
Yes the unit is supplied by external power supply source with SELV, LPS output.
The complete unit will be NRTL certified. My question is whether we need to
consider complete monitor (it is for building-in, not consumer monitor) as
critical component or I can leave it out of list
Hello Bostjan:
If the LED monitor runs on mains voltage, then
it must be certified by an NRTL.
If it runs on low voltage, it need not be certified
by an NRTL. But, I would get it certified anyway
as it is easy, not time consuming, and cheap. And,
it avoids any problems.

Dear Experts,
We are just approving one product for US/CAN market that comprises LED monitor.
Would you consider LED monitor as a critical component and ask for NRTL
approval? There is no back-light inverter inside and therefore no hazardous
voltages.
LED display panel itself is UL approved. I
