Brent and group,
I can verify that the CASPPER system does perform this feat incredibly well
in most cases IF you have the right conditions. I've had two demos of their
product, one at our company in Santa Monica and another at an OATS. We
devised quite a few scenarios to test its capabilities.

Cancellation Device for OATS - Dual Channel Spectrum
Hi Cortland,
I agree that if you want to get successful cancellation of ambient
by mixing an negative ambient signal to the measured signal
you need an exact adjustment of amplitude and phase.
And here lies the problem.
Is there a spectrum analyzer

Basically, one combines the ambient, a signal whose amplitude is not
dependent on distance from an EUT, in the correct phase and amplitude, with
the signals received by an antenna
Having played with phase based cancellation some, the true nature of the
problem is quite complex (pun intended). Using simple systems as Cortland has
mentioned, allows you to null a single phase path to the ambient.. Since I
tried this at an OATS in the mountains, it was a rather dismal

I would like to add that one must be careful when it comes to using such a
system. I
Exactly.

Perhaps it's because I've never understood ...
How exactly does one do ambient cancellation at an OATS?
UNSNIP
One method is to use two antennae. Then only the
difference is the emissions of your EUT as the second
antenna is farther away from the EUT. I believe that
Cassper, after DSP, subtracts one reading from the
other but I have seen a site using two spectrum
analyzers instead for each antenna.

Hello - A little while ago there was some discussion of a
company designing an ambient cancelation device.
Question: Does anyone remember the company
Jerry and the group,
I've had the demo as well (two actually...one at my office and one at an
OATS). It's an exciting product in theory and in some cases it performs
amazingly well. In other cases it's very finicky and would require multiple
ambient antennae and/or adjustment of those antennae
