A client is looking to supply a radio spectrum monitoring and direction finding
system to the Australian Army.
I understand from
http://www.acma.gov.au/webwr/aca_home/publications/reports/industry/manuals/emcbook.pdf
that such equipment is exempt from ACMA EMC requirements and should meet

I recall a free Australian EMC handbook available through Conformity.
When I go to the Conformity Web page--I find the link, but it's closed?
Does anybody have a copy

Mark,
Australian EMC approval must be procured from the Spectrum Management
Agency (SMA) there. They do not accept the CE mark which is a self-
declaration for the European Union only. You will probably have to
submit your CISPR 22 data for approval, and you will need to add the
C-tick mark
Hi Mark-
No, the CE Mark will not fly in Australia. However, the tests are the
same, the generic standards are different. You must complete a DoC to
their standards and your importer must hold the DoC. The Australian mark
is the C-Tick Mark and it is mandatory.
