UL1697 (not in existence yet) will likely be the Standard for the broadband
communications equipment detailed in NEC Article 830. If your equipment
fits the description someone may be trying to get a head start.

UL1697 does not exist. The following link will take you to a numerical
listing of UL's standards. You may be able to guess the correct standard

I have a catalog of UL standards (published by UL) that is from January 1999
and it does not list a UL 1697. It skips from 1694 to 1699 so it is probably
a typo. It also is not in the list of proposed standards. The current list
of UL standards, including the scopes of the standards, is
Interface Units, etc..
