Mr. Najafi,
The regulatory framework in Argentina will require mandatory certifications
for IT type equipment starting in September of this year.
Nemko has recently signed an agreement with IRAM, Where we can process the
certification for clients, and perform the required semi annual audits of
Hello Nezam,
Documentation required includes:
1. Safety testing:
Test Reports have to be in the IEC format. In Argentina all IEC
standards are converted into IRAM Standards. The main difference
to the IEC standards is the Spanish language. IEC based test
standards will be accepted. Please
Dear Group,
Many UL standards (see UL 508 for example) have requirements
for capacitors having dielectric medium more combustible than

Hi Chris,
I would say that if you are planning to sell in the EC than the
EMC directive is a must. The standards that come to mind would
be:
EN55022:1998 Information technology equipment - radio distubance
characteristics - Limits and methods of measurement
and

It is my understanding that Argentina now requires a CB Certificate
and CB Test Report for certain ITE. A CE marking does not require
a CB examination, and can be based on a variety of self-declaration
techniques. I see no good reason for Argentina to accept a CE mark-
ing which is entirely
Anyone can correct me if I'm wrong, but my understanding is that for the
time being, Argentina is accepting CE approval until Jan 1, 2000.

Hi Brian,
Those sound like 5 or 10 watt Pasternack prices...they
are better than HP, but still higher than what we stumbled
into at some of the HAM radio crowd's cache of stuff.
I'm assuming you want 50 ohm 'N' connector types.

To all:
Dose anyone have any experience with certification of networking equipment
for Argentina. I understand there is an IRAM marking. If my equipment has a
CE marking what is the lead time to get the appropriate Argentina
certification. Can you sell the products to Argentina that already has
Hi all
Could anyone help a compliance engineer who is completely unfamiliar with IT
regs with the following:
We manufacture an AV processor that can be controlled and have its flash
memory upgraded via a comms bus, it is fully safety and EMC approved. No

Is anyone familiar with this standard? What is its title? I could go
internet surfing, but am running behind due to some typical summer

Hello Kyle,
I would have thought you could get an average current using a digital
storage oscilloscope.
The 5 mA limit is the average DC Component over a 24 hour period. The lab
will need to calculate the average DC current when the unit is being used
and then take into account the amount of
Scott,
For LVD compliance you must keep certain records (in Europe!) for 10 years after

Regarding the non uniformities (rippling) on the ground mesh, the detailed

I do not think that this will be a problem at frequencies such
I am researching the CE requirements for Railway Electronic detector equipment.
I don't believe the LVD is applicable. Any Ideas.
