Andy, I have never heard of the term certificate of incorporation. However, Article 4(2) and Annex IIB of the Machinery Directive (98/37/EC) reference a document that has been referred to as a declaration of incorporation. That might be what your vendor was referring to. The wording in the

Andy, Certificate of Incorporation usually is the piece or paper from the Secretary of State of the state your company is incorporated in as a business. I have had to provide this as evidence that the company is a real company when doing approval work but it certainly has nothing to do with

Hi, My guess is that it has to do with the Machinery Directive. See Article 4, paragraph 2 and point B of Annex II. This deals with machinery ...that it is intended to be incorporated into machinery or assembled with other machinery to constitute machinery covered by this Directive... Ned
