The only difference is I us hardware estop force estop sense low, and when I
release my estop button ,estop sense goes high and then I turn the machine on
through the gui halui and off she goes ,I'm running EMC2.6.15 halui_halvcp

Greetings;
In the transition to emc2, I noticed that the directory emc/programs seems to
have become deprecated.
I found where they were relocated to, but the install script needs to edit
stepper_inch.ini to add a trailing '/' to the PROGRAM_DEFAULT path, which was
properly set to ~/user/emc2/

Hi all,
After the success I've had with EMC2 and my minimill, I've decided to take a
whack at converting a little Prazi 5x12 lathe I have. So far I've got it
"steppered" and I have procured a PC on which I've installed EMC2 from the live
CD. So far so good.
On the minimill I'm using a PMDX

Do you get this behavior with one of the "sim" configurations (e.g.,
sim/axis.ini, sim/tkemc.ini)? What is the exact sequence of operations
you do (key presses, button clicks, etc) to make this happen? If you
are not running the newest version of emc2 (2.1.5), does the problem
still occur after y

First off I have managed to get EMC2 Live loaded onto a computer and
running. Lots of changes since the last time I looked at EMC, I really
like the graphics in the AXIS interface, makes debugging programs a lot easier.
I did translate a program that was running on a Fanuc control and got it t
Inside the ini file you are using there are the following lines:
#HALFILE = xylotex_pinout.hal
HALFILE = standard_pinout.hal
simlpy remove the comment character '#' from the first line, and add it to
the second one.

Alex

Yes Sven you are dead right, the mistake I was making was trying to do it
using Nero SmartStart which would have been alright if I had closed the
window that appears and gone straight to Recorder then Burn Image. However I
did persivere and eventually work it out. I have now had Ubuntu+EMC2
