Thanks for the kind words.
I accept the nomination, but it's far more important to me to be part of the
team than to actually be reelected again.

PS: I promise to try to come to the next fest, even if not elected

Hi John
A board like you are looking at will certainly get you started with step
and direction. It can also allow you to test HAL things by connecting
switches to pins and see them work. Back in the old days we used to cut
apart parport cables and wire these in but you can't do that today with
Thanks for your kind words. If elected it will be my first step in taking

Seriously - I will do my best to bring my perspective to emc. I love
showing people what emc can do. Its open sourceness is what brought me to

I've no idea if my input as a hobbyist user is wanted, but from the list of
nominees so far, I've been very impressed with their patience with this old
fart, and their knowledge, both on the list and on IRC.
So the questions I have are, how many 'chairs' are there around this table?
Hi Gene
At the moment, there are 5 board members:
Jon Elson
Ray Henry
Alex Joni
John Kasunich
Chris Radek (Chairperson)
I suspect there will be 5 after the election as well :)

A while back, there was allot of good information floating around

information doesn't seem to be handy. I wonder if it would be
appropriate to have a short information, vendor and resource list on the

sufficient to simply send the appropriate command to the VFD?
