If you're using AXIS, you can add to the default suffix list by specifying [FILTERS] PROGRAM_EXTENSION = .xyzzy My favorite extension when you do this, .xyzzy files will be shown by default, and you'll be able to double-click to open them. However, this does not change the behavior when
