Don't know. I got mine, in an overgrown shoebox case, with a 2gb single
laptop style dram, power supply, 250Gb sata hard drive and a dvd writer,

With the 8GB SSD that is exactly the components in my Mill controller.

Thanks All;
The D525MW wins.

I didn't realize that.
Thanks for correcting the 525 board number, I didn't realize I had mangled the
number.

To all,
For what it's worth, I have used the following components from Mini-Box.com

I second the D525MW - Used it on my last build with a solid state
drive. Very nice.

And, I'll third the MW525 motherboard.
Remember to turn off hyper-threading in the bios, though.
It is my first linuxcnc machine, and the install (with gecko g540) went
incredibly well.
I think that the memory i purchased was something like $14.99 or so for each
2meg module; I could be wrong,

The D510MO was discontinued by Intel.
I'd go with the Intel MW525 board instead. You can buy them from almost
everyone and they work well with LinuxCNC.
Plus they have a real DB25 LPT port! :-)
They take laptop memory instead of desktop memory sticks but that has
been cheaper the last time I
just for fun:
check powersupply cable
check power connectors onto the board
check harddrive power connectors
check memory connectors
check cpu connector.
for check read: apply contactcleaner (not the lubricating type) liberally
and plug in and out a few times.
otherwise this might be your harddri

Hi All;
All my shop EMC2 applications are running on D510M0's.
Is this also a good choice for the new one?
After EMC2 was taught how to deal with the D510M0's printer port strangeness,
the have done great except for boot up after being powered down several days in
a 60 degree F shop. I can't deter
